A Halloween Story. Midnight Secrets. By Kelly Santana.

 A Halloween Story

Midnight secrets

In town named Asfil, where everything seemed normal, free of worries, no one told you that if you went out at midnight it was very unlikely that you would return, that the forest was forbidden, that everyone locked their doors fearing that that would happen. Again….

In that town there was a very curious girl, too much curious, named Padme, she watched her strange neighbor Damian, because since she was little, she saw him from her window coming and going from his house at midnight, sometimes she thought she saw blood, but she could never confirm it because he was very reserved. Until one day, while she was in the town cafeteria when he entered to order a coffee and when he passed by her, his school ID dropped, so Padme decided to follow him without thinking much because the curiosity of where he was going and what he was doing was very tempting for her.

She followed him until he entered the forest that she had always been warned never to enter. Padme hesitated for a second, but she never imagined that was really happening in that forest.

Already inside the forest, after a certain time, she realized that she had lost Damian, and Padme had no idea of how to return to the town. After wandering lost for a while, she heard voices in the distance. She followed them, and what she saw left her terrified and paralyzed. Two men were arguing, and one stabbed the other in the forehead with a knife

Padme tried to run, but she couldn’t move; she was completely paralyzed, but she knew that if she stayed still, he could see her, and she didn’t want to find out what man that would do to her.

She stayed hidden behind a big tree, but in that moment, she felt a hand on her shoulder.
